POWERSHIELD-22 Tape is a Self-Bonding Silicone Rubber Tape
with
NO ADHESIVE coatings having suitable interlayer separator
which must
be discarded before starting to use the tape. The tape fuses
into
Homogeneously soon after application.
Recommended Uses
1. Traction motor inter-connector joints
2. Terminal end to cable joint of T.M
3. Insulation of H.V. crimp joints
4. For Jacketing of high voltage terminations of power cables
through
69000 V
5. Insulation against arcing & tracking
6. Resistant to Ultra violet rays
7. Resistant to oil
8. Suitable for insulation upto class H & C ratings
Method of Application
1. Clean the surface properly
2. Cut the required length of
POWERSHIELD-22 Tape
3. Remove the separator
4. Place the tape on to the object
and stretch it to 2/3 (two thirds) of the
original length
and wrap it by half-lapping process
5. Build the thickness as required
6. At the end, cut the tapes and
press it inward for development of
self-bonding
property
